Hayden Rees

Hayden Rees (1929-1998) was a CIA agent during the Cold War.

Biography[]

Hayden Rees was born in Danbury, Connecticut in 1929, and he was recruited into the Central Intelligence Agency near the start of the Cold War in 1947. Reees was involved with several covert operations, ranging from the Korean War and the Iranian coup to the Vietnam War and operations against the Soviet Union. In 1969, he led the "Operation Gravity" raid on Kazakhstan, sabotaging a Soviet launch site. Rees would retire from the special forces in 1985, and he died of cancer in 1998.
