Hayashi Tadataka (26 Augugst 1848-22 January 1941) was the daimyo of the Jozai Domain from 1867 to 1868. He fought for the Shogunate forces in the Boshin War and surrendered when he found out that the Tokugawa were given the lands of Shizuoka when they capitulated. He was the "last daimyo", working as a clerk in the city of Hakodate in Hokkaido, and he died at the age of 92 in an apartment run by his daughter Mitsu in Tokyo.
