
Harrison is a town in Hudson County, New Jersey. The township was incorporated on 13 April 1840, and the town was named for President William Henry Harrison, who was elected that year. In 1869, Harrison became a town, and it became a "Beehive of Industry", as it was home to the Edison Lamp Works, Worthington Pump and Machinery, the RCA Company, Otis Elevator, Hartz Mountain, Remco Industries, and Hyatt Roller Bearing. During the 21st century, Harrison transformed from a manufacturing center into a residential and service town. In 2016, Harrison had a population of 16,231 people, with 44.18% being Hispanic and 16.28% Asian.
