Harris Carruthers (1837) was an American pastor who lived in Blackwater, Texas during the Wild West era. He was often seen preaching around town and was well loved by the citizens of Blackwater. Carruthers also helped people affected by the Mexican Revolution, and was arrested and set to be executed by Colonel Agustin Allende's troops for speaking out against the government, but was rescued and returned to the United States by the gunfighters Landon Ricketts and John Marston, both of whom would become good friends with him. He was also known to help Luisa Fortuna.
