Hans Jordan (27 December 1892 – 20 April 1975) was a General der Infanterie of Nazi Germany's Wehrmacht during World War II.
Biography[]
Hans Jordan was born in Scheuern, Baden, in the German Empire (now Germany) on 27 December 1892. He served in World War I and earned the Iron Cross and Wound Badge for his services, and he later became a general of Nazi Germany during World War II. Jordan was promoted to command the German 9th Army on 20 May 1944 and defended Belarus from the Soviet Union during Operation Bagration. On 27 June 1944 he was encircled at Babruysk and he was relieved of command, placed in the reserves.
