Hank Templeton (died October 1864) was a Confederate Home Guard officer who served in North Carolina during the American Civil War. In 1864, he and his band of Home Guardsmen arrested the deserter William P. Inman and his associate Solomon Veasey at the home of Junior Taylor, who betrayed the deserters in exchange for money, but the Home Guardsmen were later ambushed and killed by a Union Army cavalry patrol while escorting the prisoners. Templeton shot Veasey dead before being shot in the head by a cavalryman.
