Hana Hirano

Hana Hirano was a Japanese woman who served as the secretary of Sky Finance owner Shun Akiyama.

Biography[]

Hana Hirano was born in Tokyo, Japan, and she worked as a banker at Touto Bank before becoming a colleague to Shun Akiyama in 2002. Years later, after Akiyama had been fired by Touto Bank, became homeless, recovered due to his serendipitous discovery of millions of yen falling from the Millennium Tower in 2005, and founded Sky Finance, Hana became Akiyama's secretary at Sky Finance. The kind-hearted Hana both secretly loved Akiyama and was short-tempered and strict towards him due to his laziness; she often took care of the finances and the office's cleanliness. In 2010, she used her martial arts skills to fight off an attempt by Shibata-gumi goons to attack the office, although she was later knocked out by the Hatsushiba-kai lieutenant Takumi Midorikawa when he came to the office to steal its debtor register. She also testified to Akiyama's innocence after Masaru Ihara was found murdered behind the Sky Finance offices, resulting in Akayama's release from prison. Akiyama sent her to the hospital to recover after Midorikawa's attack, and, on her return, she was shocked to learn that Akiyama had given a loan of ¥100 million to "Lily", a girl who resembled Akiyama's ex-girlfriend Eri from Touto Bank. Hana decided to quit, telling Akiyama to try to look after himself, and that she needed to deal with her own feelings for Akiyama.

A skinny Hana

At least a week later, Hirano - who lost a significant amount of weight after being unable to eat during her separation from Akiyama - returned to Sky Finance to resume her job. Akiyama was shocked at Hana's new appearance, and the two nearly kissed before Akiyama remembered that he had saved food for Hirano. A heartsick Hirano snapped at Akiyama before agreeing to eat with him. In 2012, Hana once again quit Sky Finance due to Akiyama's prolonged absence in Osaka, where he started up the Dotonbori branch of Sky Finance. She later rejoined him, but, in 2016, Akiyama closed Sky Finance due to the threat of the Saio Triad's expansion into Kabukicho, sending Hana back to her hometown to remove her from harm's way.
