Hamish McAllister (1854-1899) was an employee of the Gray family of Caliga Hall, Louisiana during the late 19th century.
Biography[]
Hamish McAllister was born in Scarlett Meadows, Louisiana in 1854 to a family of Scottish immigrants. He was employed by the Gray family of Caliga Hall as a plantation guard, and the escalation of the Gray-Braithwaite feud in 1899 caused him to grow stressed with his job. When Sean MacGuire arrived at the plantation with a wagon full of moonshine and supplies, Hamish welcomed him in and kindly offered to direct him to the storehouse. MacGuire gave Hamish a jug of strong moonshine, and the two had a friendly chat, with Hamish being fascinated by Sean's Irish heritage from County Donegal and sharing that he was of Scottish descent, which led to Sean joking that they were basically brothers. After reaching the storehouse, Sean and Hamish dismounted, and Hamish offered to help Sean unload the cart. Sean expected for Arthur Morgan - who was hidden in the back of the cart - to stealthily kill McAllister, but Morgan enjoyed Sean's monologue and took a brief liking to Hamish, forcing Sean to draw a knife and stab McAllister in the neck, silently killing him.
