Hamdi Satter (14 August 1964-23 June 2006) was a spokesman for Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Highly influential on social media due to his accounts on several websites loyal to the Palestinian independence cause, Satter was targeted by Israel after appearing in a 12 June 2006 video that was supposed to declare war on the Israelis. He was killed during Operation Falling Comet.

Hamdi Satter was born on 14 August 1964 in the Jabalia refugee camp of the Gaza Strip to a family of Muslim Palestinians originally from Ascalon (present-day Ashkelon, Israel). Satter grew up in an impoverished and homeless Palestinian family of refugees, and Satter became a member of Hamas in 1988. Satter became a spokesperson for the group, and he was very influential in social media due to his holding of accounts on many social websites on the world wide web. Satter was responsible for creating a 12 June 2006 video that informed Israel of Hamas' intentions to launch rocket attacks on them, and immediately afterwards, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) made plans to invade the Gaza Strip and killed Satter and other important Hamas and Fatah terrorist commanders. On 23 June 2006, Satter was killed by a drone strike on an apartment in Jabalia by the Israeli Air Force (IAF).
