Hamazaki-gumi

The Hamazaki-gumi was a subsidiary of the Tojo-kai yakuza organization of Japan. It was founded by Goh Hamazaki, and it was a small-time crew based in Yokohama during the 2000s. From 2006 to 2009, the Hamazaki-gumi partnered with its former rivals, the Snake Flower Triad, coming to be one of the Tojo-kai's most profitable organizations despite having only ten members. After Tojo-kai chairman Daigo Dojima was forced into a coma by a pair of mysterious assassins, the Hamazaki-gumi attempted to push forward a resort deal on Okinawa, leading to Kazuma Kiryu suspecting them of having a hand in Dojima's assassination attempt. Kazuma's ensuing retaliation against the Snake Flower Triad (including the murder of their boss Lau Ka Long) led to the Triad betraying the Hamazaki-gumi and killing many of its officers to avenge the loss of its leader in the Hamazaki-gumi's failed conspiracy. Shortly after, Hamazaki himself was imprisoned for his assassination attempt on Kazuma, and the family disbanded.
