Haj Ali (died 2023) was a Lebanese terrorist and a senior Hezbollah commander, based in the Dahieh suburb of Beirut during the 2020s.
Biography[]
Haj Ali was born in Beirut, Lebanon to a Shia Muslim family. His grandfather was killed by the Christian Phalangists during the Lebanese Civil War, while he also bore a strong resentment towards Sunnis for allegedly "enslaving" Lebanese Shi'ites. Haj Ali rose to become a prominent Hezbollah commander, and he developed a fiendish plan to launch missiles attacks on Israel in order to drag it into a wider regional war that would hasten its destruction. In 2023, he sent his Brussels cell leader Omar Tawalbe to lure in and kidnap Shin Bet captain Gabi Ayub, whom Tawalbe interrogated for the names of all of his Jenin informants; Tawalbe's men also shot and wounded Ayub during a failed escape attempt. Haj Ali had Ayub taken to Lebanon, but, after two Israeli agents infiltrated Lebanon, and after the Israelis foiled Adel Tawalbe's rocket attack plan by raiding his basement hideout in Jenin, Haj Ali decided to take Ayub to an airfield in Syria, from which he would be flown to Iran to die in a prison. However, the convoy was intercepted by Mista'arvim agents dressed as Lebanese police, and, while Haj Ali attempted to murder Ayub, he was shot dead by Ayub's friend Doron Kabilio.
