Hafiz ibn Sulayman

Hafiz ibn Sulayman (20 June 1070-) was a commander of the Rassid Emirate during the First Crusade. Born in Yemen to a commander of Sanaa, Hafiz was a distant relative of the ruling family of the Rassid Emirate, and he was also a sayyid due to his patrilineal descent from the Rassid emirs, the Sheikhs of al-Bayda, and Caliph Hasan ibn Ali, the grandson of Muhammad. On 27 December 1089, he was captured after being defeated by crusaders at Negev.
