Hadhramis are an Arab cultural group that originated in Hadhramaut, Yemen in the southern Arabian Peninsula. There are 1,300 distinct tribes, and most of the Hadhramis are Sunni Muslims. Hadhramis are not only inhabitants of Yemen, but they have since spread to Southeast Asia and the Swahili Coast of Africa due to Arab traders setting up communities in Indian Ocean ports.
