Gwynedd is a county in Wales, bordering Powys, Conwy, Anglesey, and Ceredigion; Caernarfon is its administrative center, while Bangor is its largest city. Gwynedd is the second largest local government area in Wales in terms of land area, but it is also one of the most sparsely populated. Gwynedd was once home to the Kingdom of Gwynedd, and its name now refers to North Wales. In 2016, Gwynedd had a population of 123,600 people.
