Guthfrith of Somerset (born 855) was the West Saxon Ealdorman of Somerset from 879 AD. Following the death of the previous magistrate, King Alfred the Great named the young Guthfrith the new governor and had him focus on food production to feed the fyrd during its campaigns in the Midlands.
