Gunnar (born 827) was a Danish warlord in the service of Guthrum, King of East Engle, during the late 9th century AD. Gunnar commanded one of the kingdom's two large armies, recapturing Essex from the invading Wicing king Sigtryggr in 880 and later campaigning against Northymbre in the north.
