Gunma Prefecture is a prefecture of Japan located in the Kanto region of central Honshu, with Maebashi serving as its capital and other major cities including Takasaki, Ota, Isesaki, and Kiryu. In 2019, Gunma Prefecture had a population of 1,937,636 people.
