Guatemalan National Revolutionary Unity

The Guatemalan National Revolutionary Unity (URNG) is a socialist party in Guatemala that was formed on 7 February 1982 as a revolutionary guerrilla movement during the Guatemalan Civil War. The URNG fought against the United States-supported government until 1996, and in 1998 it was legalized as a minor political party in the country.
