Gregorio Sepulveda

Gregorio Sepulveda was a Colombian policeman who served as chief of police in Antioquia in 1988, succeeding Flavio Acosta and preceding Waldemar Franklin Quintero. Sepulveda was an incorruptible policeman who was dedicated to the hunt for Pablo Escobar, and he nearly captured him after following the sound of a car bomb Escobar had tested. Because of this near-miss, and because Sepulveda offered a $100 million bounty for Escobar's capture, Escobar issued a $102 million bounty for Sepulveda and replaced his own wanted posters with those of Sepulveda.
