Greater London is a county and region of England which forms the administrative boundaries of the English capital of London. The region consists of the 32 London boroughs and the City of London, and the Greater London Authority (consisting of the Mayor of London and the London Assembly) is based in Southwark. In 2016, Greater London had a population of 8,778,500 people.
