Bakersfield is a small rural agricultural and industrial community in Kern County, California. The town, located at the northeast tip of the Salton Sea, was dedicated to providing Kern County with its food, and much of the town consisted of farmland, in addition to having several shops along Bakersfield Avenue and Bakersfield Main Street. Bakersfield was known not only for its agriculture, but also its role in the meth business in Kern County, with The Lost MC and the O'Neil Brothers operating from the town; the latter gang was wiped out by Trevor Philips in 2013. The farmers also secretly grew marijuana, another valuable drug that was traded illicitly. The town's motto was "The Industrial Heart of the Salton Sea".
