Granny White (born 1940) was a Chinese-born Japanese martial artist and a master of the White Lotus school of spear-fighting and Shaolin kung fu.
Biography[]
She was born in China in 1940, and she became a martial arts master of the White Lotus style, teaching Lau Ka Long of the Snake Flower Triad. However, she refused to accept Lau as her successor, incurring the wrath of the triad. In December 2006, she came to Tokyo as a tourist from Osaka, and, on 18 December 2006, she first met Kazuma Kiryu after approaching him for directions. She traded emails with him, persuading him that she was an old woman in need of directions in the big city, before she persuaded him to help her fight off three stalkers, namely the triads Zhou Weiming, Lee Jinyun, and Moon Maifeng. Kiryu was impressed with her moves, and she told him that she would email him when she got lost again; Kiryu helped show her around Kabukicho, and she eventually came around to teaching him Lotus School Spearmanship, the Lotus Golden Wall, the Lotus Impenetrable Body, and the Lotus Fists of Fury. In 2009, she trained Shoji Yonashiro in long weapons.
