Gourmaelon

Gourmaelon (865-913) was King of Brittany from 908 to 913, succeeding Alan I and preceding Rognvald.

Biograhpy[]

Gourmaelon was the son of Count Riwallon of Cornouaille, and he succeeded his father in 907; after the death of King Alan I of Brittany in 907, he fought for control of Brittany. He became the de facto ruler of Brittany in 908, but, amid the power struggles in Brittany, the Vikings invaded. He died in battle with the Viking chief Rognvald in 913.
