Tadamasa Goto

Tadamasa Goto

The Goto-gumi was a Japanese Yakuza organization based in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture. The organization was founded in 1985 as a clan of the Yamaguchi-gumi organization, and it had connections to the Hong Kong triads. In 2001, the gang's founder and leader Tadamasa Goto decided to give the American FBI information on other Yamaguchi-gumi leaders in exchange for being able to have a liver transplant, and he was expelled from the gang on 14 October 2008. The gang split into two factions, and Kiyoshi Takayama and his Kodo-kai took over Fujinomiya.
