Gorm the Old (877-1 December 958) was King of Denmark from 936 to 958, succeeding Harthacnut I of Denmark and preceding Harald Bluetooth. In many histories, he is considered to be the first Danish king.

Gorm the Old was born in 877, the son of Harthacnut I of Denmark. He succeeded his father as king of Denmark in 936, and he united the divided kingdom. Gorm married Thyra, who would give birth to Gorm's son Harald Bluetooth, the first Christian ruler of Scandinavia. Gorm died in 958, and his son would succeed him, the first hereditary king of a united Denmark.
