Gonzo Gonzalez

"Gonzo" Gonzalez (died 31 October 2008) was a lieutenant of Tuco Salamanca in the Vuente Cartel. He died in 2008 after trying to move the corpse of Salamanca's former associate No-Doze from under a pile of cars in a junkyard, ending up with one of his arms buried under a vehicle and bleeding to death.

Biography[]

Gonzalez was born in Mexico and later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was the brother-in-law of Vuente Cartel trafficker Tuco Salamanca, and Salamanca trusted him like his own brother. Along with No-Doze and Nacho Varga, Gonzalez became his top lieutenant on the street, selling Salamanca's product. In 2002, he accompanied Salamanca, Varga and No-Doze out to the desert when Salamanca had held attorney Jimmy McGill and skaters Cal and Lars Lindholm hostage after they stumbled upon his house; at the behest of McGill, Salamanca let the brothers go after breaking a leg of each, and Gonzalez drove them home.

Years later, in 2008, Gonzalez and Salamanca built up a partnership with aspiring drug dealers Walter White and Jesse Pinkman after Salamanca had initially beaten Pinkman severely, and their new "blue sky" meth product made a lot of money for their operation. However, during one transaction, No-Doze spoke up to White and Pinkman, telling them to "remember who you're working for", a comment which enfuriated Salamanca, sending him on a drug-induced frenzy where he beat No-Doze to death with his bare hands.

After Salamanca, realizing the severity of his action, tried getting White to resuscitate No-Doze unsuccessfully, he had Gonzalez bury him underneath multiple cars at a junkyard. Gonzalez did not agree with this and felt he deserved a proper Christian burial, so later that night, he went back to the place where No-Doze was disposed of and tried moving the body, but in doing so the pile of cars collapsed and Gonzalez's arm was crushed by one vehicle, causing him to bleed out after some time.
