Gonzalo "El Emisario" Yana (19 October 1994-2019) was a Bolivian drug trafficker and the production manager for the Santa Blanca Cartel.
Biography[]
Gonzalo Yana was born in Bahia Floresta, Bolivia in 1994, the grandson of the drug lord Rudolfo Yana. He admired his grandfather's influence as the Santa Blanca Cartel's emissary to the Bolivian government, and he was raised to be his successor before "El Yayo" became the cartel's head of production. Now nicknamed "El Emisario," Gonzalo dealt with people who had known him as a child, managing the cartel's relations with key governmental figures.
In 2019, the United States launched Operation Kingslayer in response to the cartel's murder of DEA agent Ricky Sandoval, and its Ghost Recon team shut down Yana's cocaine production facilities across Ocoro department, luring him back to his mansion in the province. After Yana failed to capture Ocoro's hospital from Kataris 26 - having planned on converting it into a new laboratory - Yana hanged himself out of despair for letting his grandfather down.
