Godwine of Ethandun (1050-1066) was an Anglo-Saxon general in the service of King Harold Godwinson at the time of the Norman conquest of England. In 1066, he led an army from Ethandun to recapture Hampshire from the Normans, only to be slain at the First Battle of Wilton.
