Gnaeus Cornelius Scipio Calvus (257 BC-211 BC) was a Roman general and statesman who served as Consul in 222 BC.

Biography[]

Gnaeus Cornelius Scipio Calvus was the son of Lucius Cornelius Scipio and the older brother of Publius Cornelius Scipio. He served as Consul in 222 BC, and he fought in Hispania during the Second Punic War, winning the Battle of Cissa in 218 BC and the Battle of Dertosa in 215 BC. Unfortunately, Gnaeus and Publius were both killed at the Battle of the Upper Baetis in 211 BC.
