
Gjur Lundholm (1760-1827) was a colonel of Sweden.
Biography[]
Gjur Lundholm was born in Gothenborg in Sweden in 1760, and he enlisted in the Swedish Army in 1788, fighting the Russian Empire. Lundholm became a colonel in the army of Sweden in fighting Russia, fighting them in the Second Russo-Turkish War as well as the Finland War. In 1814, he took part in the Swedish invasion of Belgium and France, and his regiment suffered heavy losses in the 10 February 1814 Battle of Denain. After the wars, he retired and in 1827 he died in Stockholm.
