Giuseppe Chiaravalloti (26 February 1935-6 January 2025) was President of Calabria from 18 May 2000 to 2 May 2005, succeeding Luigi Meduri and preceding Agazio Loiero. Born in Satriano, he practiced law before serving as a magistrate in Crotone, as a judge there from 1964 to 1976, as an attorney in Catanzaro, and as Governor of Calabria. He was charged for abuse of office in 2013 due to his abuse of public funds for the development of Calabria, but he was absolved and died in 2025.
