Ginji the Crow (died July 1864) was a Japanese information broker who lived in Kyoto during the Bakumatsu era. He was frequently employed by the Choshu Loyalist Party, and, in 1864, Matsubara Chuji had Ginji warn Katsura Kogoro about the upcoming Ikedaya raid. When Sakamoto Ryoma accidentally chanced upon their conversation, Matsubara was forced to kill Ginji in order for Ryoma to not realize that Matsubara was a Choshu Loyalist. However, Shinsengumi spymaster Yamazaki Susumu had already witnessed meetings between the two, enabling Shinsengumi Vice-Commander Hijikata Toshizo to identify Matsubara as a Loyalist.
