Gideon Hard (29 April 1797-27 April 1885) was a member of the US House of Representatives (AM-NY 33) from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1837, preceding Charles F. Mitchell. Born in Arlington, Vermont, he practiced law in Albion, New York before serving as commissioner of schools of Barre from 1841 to 1848, in the state senate from 1842 to 1847, as a canal appraiser, and as a judge in Orleans County from 1856 to 1860.
