Gideon Billings (1588-) was an English Royal Navy captain during the 17th century. In 1639, he set sail for the Caribbean with Ossian Trewhella in his crew, and he was infamous for his poor treatment of his crew members. During a storm in late 1639, his crew mutinied against Billings, and Trewhella took control of the ship for himself, becoming an English privateer.
