Germiyanids

The Germiyanids were a Turkish dynasty of beys who ruled over much of western central Anatolia from Isparta from 1300 to 1429, emerging in the aftermath of the disintegration of the Sultanate of Rum. The Germiyanids were Turkmen who emigrated west from Kerman, Persia due to the Mongol conquests of the late 13th century, and Yakup I of Germiyan settled Turkish populations along the Aegean coast. The Aydinids, Sarukhanids, Inanjids, and Mentese later broke away from the Germiyanids, having previously served as Germiyanid commanders. In 1314, the Germiyanids swore allegiance to the Yuan dynasty. In 1429, the Germiyanids were absorbed into the Ottoman Empire.
