The German 91st Infantry Division was a German infantry division that existed from 15 January to 10 August 1944, with Wilhelm Falley leading the division. The division was founded as an air landing division, but it was later reorganized as an infantry division, and it was equipped with captured French Army light tanks and was deployed to Normandy. Falley was killed during the Battle of Saint-Mere-Eglise on 6 June 1944, and the group was reduced to battle group strength by the US Third Army. The division was absorbed into the 344th Volksgrenadier Division in August 1944.
