Biography[]
Geri McGee was born in Los Angeles, California on 16 May 1936, and she began her modeling career in high school. She moved to Las Vegas to pursue new opportunities, and she began working as a cocktail waitress and Tropicana showgirl in 1960. McGee worked her way up the Las Vegas social ladder, hustling at casinos and meeting several businessmen, including Frank Rosenthal, who she married in 1969. She resented domestic life, and she refused to take care of children, instead preferring to go out and drink. Geri and Frank both began seeing other people, and McGee had an affair with the mobster Anthony Spilotro. They would often get into physical altercations and break up, only to reconcile again. She later considered running away to Europe with her former pimp Lester Diamond, who had once employed her as a prostitute. They both lived in Los Angeles together, and she was later arrested after stealing much of Rosenthal's money; her arrest set off a chain reaction that led to the arrest of several casino bosses for their role in "skimming" money for the Mafia. On 9 November 1982, she died of a "hot" drug overdose in Los Angeles at the age of 46.
