Gerardo Selvo (1116-) was the second son of Bartolomeo Selvo and a nobleman of the Republic of Venice.
Biography[]
Gerardo was the second son of Councillor Bartolomeo Selvo "the Builder" and his wife Magdalena Selvo, born in the city of Venice. Gerardo was uninhibited, swift to judge, dubious, and lazy, unlike his chivalrous father. He would wet himself at the notion of command, was neither noble nor nefarious, and had low piety. Selvo was a disgraced member of the family, and he remained in Venice as Governor.
