Geraldine Thompson (18 November 1948-13 February 2025) was a member of the Florida House of Representatives (D-39) from 7 November 2006 to 6 November 2012 (interrupting Bruce Antone's terms) and from the 14th district from 6 November 2018 to 8 November 2022 (succeeding Bobby Olszewski and preceding Carolina Amesty) and a member of the Florida Senate (D-12) from 6 November 2012 to 8 November 2016 (succeeding Gary Giplin and preceding Randolph Bracy) and from the 15th district from 8 November 2022 to 13 February 2025 (succeeding Randolph Bracy). Born in New Orleans, she was raised in Perrine, Florida before working in state government and higher education in Tallahassee and working as Assistant to the President at Valencia Community College in Orlando, a city she represented in the state legislature until her death.
