Geraint Davies (born 3 May 1960) was the Labour MP for Croydon Central from 1 May 1997 to 11 April 2005 (succeeding Paul Beresford and preceding Andrew Pelling) and MP for Swansea West from 6 May 2010 to 30 May 2024 (succeeding Alan Williams.
Biography[]
Geraint Davies was born in Chester, Cheshire, England in 1960, and he was raised in Cardiff, Wales. He worked for Unilever before joining the Labour Party in 1982, and he became a trade unionist in 1985. He was elected to the Croydon Borough Council in 1986, serving until 1997, when he was elected to Parliament as the Labour MP for Croydon Central. Davies served in Parliament from 1997 to 2005 and from 2010, switching his constituency to Swansea West in 2010. He supported a second Brexit referendum. In 2023, he was suspended from Labour after being accused of sexual harassment.
