
Georgios II of Makuria (930-1002) was the king of Makuria from 943, succeeding Kabil of Makuria and preceding Raphael of Makuria.
Biography[]
Georgios was born in 930 to the House of Azim, a Christian dynasty of Nubians that ruled over Makuria in present-day Sudan. Georgios succeeded his father Raphael of Makuria as king of Makuria upon his death in 943. He reigned until his death in 1002, and his son Raphael of Makuria succeeded him.
