George Sheffield (1941-1984) was an American lawyer from Miami who represented Tony Montana during the 1980s. In 1984, he betrayed him in favor of Alejandro Sosa, leading to his own demise.
Biography
George Sheffield was born in Miami, Florida in 1941, and he became known as the greatest lawyer in the city, albeit a corrupt one. In 1983, Tony Montana bribed him into becoming his lawyer, and he assisted him in delaying his money laundering trial for up to three years. However, later that year, Montana was feared dead after a shootout with Sosa Cartel henchmen at his mansion, and Sheffield threw his lot in with the Sosa Cartel rather than assist his former patron, whose ability to recover he doubted. He attempted to have Montana killed at a meeting at Freedomtown, but the hit failed, and Sheffield fled to Cochabamba, Bolivia, where he and Gaspar Gomez sought shelter with Alejandro Sosa. During Montana's 1984 assault on the mansion, he executed Sheffield.
