George R. Robbins

George Robbins Robbins (24 September 1808 – 22 February 1875) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NJ 2) from 4 March 1855 to 3 March 1859, succeeding Charles Skelton and preceding John L.N. Stratton.

Biography[]

George Robbins Robbins was born in Allentown, Monmouth County, New Jersey in 1808, and he opened a medical practice in Fallsington, Bucks County, Pennsylvania and then in Hamilton Township, Mercer County in 1837. He served in the US House of Representatives from 1855 to 1859 as a Republican, and he died in 1875. Robbinsville Township was named after him.
