George Leavens Lilley (3 August 1859-21 April 1909) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-CN) from 4 March 1903 to 5 January 1909 (preceding John Q. Tilson) and Governor of Connecticut from 6 January to 21 April 1909 (succeeding Rollin S. Woodruff and preceding Frank B. Weeks).

Biography[]

George Leavens Lilley was born in Oxford, Massachusetts in 1859, and he moved to Waterbury, Connecticut in 1881 and became a merchant and realtor. He served in the State House from 1901 to 1903, in the US House of Representatives from 1903 to 1909, and as Governor for four months in 1909, dying in office.
