George Ege (9 March 1748 – 14 December 1829) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-PA 5) from 8 December 1796 to October 1797, succeeding Daniel Hiester and preceding Joseph Hiester.

Biography[]

George Ege was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania in 1748 to German immigrant parents, and he ran an iron forge in Womelsdorf, Berks County before serving as a Berks County associate judge from 1791 to 1818 and in the US House of Representatives from 1796 to 1797. He died in 1829.
