George E. Seney

George Ebbert Seney (29 May 1832-11 June 1905) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-OH 5) from 4 March 1883 to 3 March 1885 (interrupting Benjamin Le Fevre's terms), from OH-7 from 4 March 1885 to 3 March 1887 (interrupting James E. Campbell's terms), and from OH-5 from 4 March 1887 to 3 March 1891 (succeeding Le Fevre and preceding Fernando C. Layton). Born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, the grandson of Joshua Seney, he was raised in Tiffin, Ohio before becoming a lawyer, a US attorney, a judge, quartermaster of the 101st Ohio Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War, and a congressman from 1883 to 1891. He died in 1905.
