George Clifford Maxwell (31 May 1771 – 16 March 1816) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NJ) from 4 March 1811 to 3 March 1813, succeeding John A. Scudder and preceding Benjamin Bennet.

Biography[]

George Clifford Maxwell was born in Sussex County, New Jersey in 1771, and he became a lawyer in 1797 and practiced in Hunterdon County. He served as US Attorney for the District of New Jersey from 1801 to 1803 and then in the US House of Representatives from 1811 to 1813, and he practiced law in Flemington, Hunterdon County until his death in 1816.
