Geoffrey Steenwyck (1746-1799) was an American reverend and the main priest of Sleepy Hollow.
Biography[]
Steenwyck was born in 1746 in Sleepy Hollow, New York. In 1766, he became the town's reverend. Steenwyck was one of the most notorious neighbours of the village alongside with Peter Van Garret, Baltus Van Tassel, James Hardenbrook, Samuel Philipse and Thomas Lancaster. In 1799, he was one of the main victims of the Headless Horseman, he was killed by Baltus Van Tassel while the church was supposedly under attack.
