Genichiro Tenryu

Genichiro Shimada (2 February 1950-), known professionally as Genichiro Tenryu, was a Japanese professional wrestler and CEO of Tenryu Enterprises who was numbered among the Tokyo real estate world's "Three Musketeers" during the 2000s.

Biography[]

Genichiro Shimada was born in Katsuyama, Fukui Prefecture, Japan on 2 February 1950, and he made his sumo wrestling debut at the age of 13 and his professional wrestling debut in 1976. He became one of Japan's most famous professional wrestlers, and he also engaged in business as one of Tokyo's "Three Musketeers", an alliance of three wrestlers-turned-"land sharks". In 2006, Tenryu, Riki Choshu, and Tatsumi Fujinami were persuaded to aid Keiji Mutoh and Masahiro Chono in their bid to steal the Kabukicho Hills construction project from Goro Majima and Majima Construction, but, with the help of Kazuma Kiryu, Majima Construction beat back the Three Musketeers and their hired thugs, and Tenryu and the other Musketeers were each convinced to join Majima's company.
