The General Motors Building is a 50-story office tower located at 767 Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, New York. It was built from 1964 to 1968, occupying a full city block; it originally housed 3,027 General Motors workers in half of the building. In 1991, Corporate Property bought the building from General Motors for $500 million, and, in 1998, Donald Trump bought the building for $878 million. It was home to CBS' The Early Show from 1999 to 2012, and, in 2003, Trump sold the building to the Macklowe Organization for $1.4 billion; in 2008, Boston Properties bought the building for $3.5 billion. Rents typically exceed $100 per square foot.
